Specialist accountant since 2000 for innovative business, with expertise in Bitcoin, digital economy, crypto accounting systems and Australian international tax. Originally based in inner city Sydney, my practice has operated remotely since 2016 in Agnes Water, QLD, near the Southern Great Barrier Reef, and I travel.
100% paperless and digital native since the noughties, I've consistently innovated our processes and within my practice to keep everything contemporary, super efficient and fun. Technology is at the core of how we do business, with many integrated apps to streamline business processes and stay connected to our clients wherever they are. Recognising the socially transformative potential of Bitcoin and open blockchains, matched by a growing need for digital financial literacy skills everywhere, I co-founded an Innovation Hub with my friend Gordon Christian (in Agnes Water-1770, Australia's First Digital Currency Town in 2018). Digital Playhouse is a School of Arts for Industry 5.0, a social enterprise, accelerating the adaptation of skills to emerging opportunities. I also think the accounting industry, having navigated digital disruption and cloud tech for so long, is primed to support SMEs with adoption of Web 3.0 and blockchain business models. Since commencing an Advanced Diploma of Applied Blockchain in 2022, I'm helping accountants to more confidently navigate and advise on their clients’ innovative crypto activities.
